Bloem fans suffer further PSL blow

Bloemfontein football fans are in for another setback, as Mangaung United has apparently been placed up for sale.

Mangaung United, along with the now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic, is one of the oldest teams in the Mangaung region. Despite playing in the lower ABC Motsepe League, they have gained popularity among local fans.

Bloemfontein Celtic was also placed up for sale in recent weeks, bringing the club's 52-year history to an end.

According to sources close to the club, Machine Motloung, a Free State-based lawyer, is leading the race to buy the club after it was placed up for sale.

"Mangaung United is available for purchase. This is yet another setback for Bloemfontein football fans "KickOff.com has learned from a source.

"We hope that the new owners will maintain the club in Bloemfontein so that football can thrive in the area."

Sinkie Leshabane, the club's current owner, has now stated that the club is looking for a sale, but has not to provide any other information.

"I'm selling the club due to personal reasons," Leshabane explained.
