Hugo Broos Explains Dolly’s Absence In Bafana Squad

Kaizer Chiefs player Keagan Dolly was left out of Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana team, according to Broos.

This week's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers were revealed on Thursday afternoon by Dutch coach Hugo Broos.

Certain of the choices on Broos' roster came as a surprise, while some Bafana regulars, including Tebogo Mokoena and TS Galaxy midfielder Ethan Brooks, were left out.

Dolly was one of the players omitted from the 23-man team by Broos.

As the Belgian coach said, Dolly was left out for various reasons.

"You've got Dolly, Xulu, De Reuck, Sibisi, and Ngezana all injured," the coach told the media. "It's not good."

It was never certain whether Dolly would be available despite her inclusion in the preliminary team.

An injury forced him to miss Chiefs' past two games, and it was expected that he would be ruled out of the Bafana squad as well.

There were a few players who had to be dropped from Broos' initial list because of injury.
