Junior Khanye was right about the Orlando Pirates technical team. When Orlando Pirates is in control of a game and winning the game they do not often look to give Linda Mntambo a run in the team, they always look to give Siphesihle Ndlovu. On Saturday when Orlando Pirates was leading one-nil against Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer, decided to take Deon Hotto out and bring Siphesihle Ndlovu in. That decision seemed to be a good decision as Ndlovu rewarded his coach with a goal on the 80th minute of the match.
After Ndlovu's goal Zinnbauer decided to bring on Linda Mntambo, shortly after Mntambo came on, Kaizer Chiefs pulled one back, but the Mighty Buccanneers were able to hold and walk away with 2 goals to 1 victory. After the game Junior Khanye did not hide away from the fact that we are pleased by the results but not the reality of the future of football in this country. Khanye went on to say that if Orlando Pirates was not winning the game on Saturday, Zinnbauer was going to bring on Linda Mntambo, not Siphesihle Ndlovu, at the time of talking no one was able to spot the one thing that Khanye had spotted.
Fast forward to three days later, after the Soweto derby victory over Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates needed a miraculous come back against Golden Arrows. As Junior Khanye had predicted, Josef Zinnbauer borough on Linda Mntambo in an attempt to try and rescue a point, but things did not go according to plan for Zinnbauer and Orlando Pirates as they could do nothing but stare at Golden Arrows walking away Iith the maximum points.
