Manchester United Ready To Sell Central Midfielder For £10million In January

Manchester United will surely be looking to win their first major title under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, which would mark the club's first under the Norwegian coach.

Over the summer, Manchester United splashed the cash on a number of players in order to improve their chances of competing on an equal basis with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea on all fronts.

However, as a result of their recent 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City, they are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table.

With their dismal recent results compounding the situation, Manchester United are now willing to let go of experienced central midfielder Jesse Lingard when the transfer window opens on January 1.

In the five years since he joined Manchester United from Penketh United, the 28-year-old England international has been in and out of the first-team squad on a regular basis.

During the 2020/2021 season, the veteran offensive midfielder was loaned out to West Ham United, where he made an immediate impact, scoring nine goals and assisting five others in 19 games.

Jesse Lingard, on the other hand, was recalled from his loan term at Manchester United, and he has since found it tough to get into the starting lineup under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

So far this season, the seasoned playmaker has made eight appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist in total.

As of now, according to claims from The Sun, Manchester United are looking to trade Jesse Lingard in order to make room in their roster.

According to the sources, Manchester United is interested in selling him and has set a purchase price of up to £10million for any interested party.

Having said that, it is unclear where Jesse Lingard will continue to develop his game if he leaves Manchester United at the end of the season next year.
