PSL Log Table Before Weekend Games

The Dstv premiership returns this week for the weekend action.

We take a look at the log table before the action take place.

Mamelodi Sundowns are still at the summit of the log table with four points clear after collecting 19 points in seven games played so far.

However the club will be not taking any part in league games this weekend as they have a CAF champions League clash to honour.

SuperSport United are on second position with 15 points after seven games played so far this season.

The Tshwane based outfit will be looking to close the gap to one point when they host Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow, Sunday.

Royal AM are in the top three, however the team is not in action this weekend.

Orlando Pirates are also not playing a league game this weekend as they have a CAF confederations cup game to honour and the club is on 6th position.

Golden Arrows are on 8th position and will be looking to move up in the log table as they visit Cape Town City on Saturday at 17:30.

If Arrows manage a victory this evening they will go to the fifth position above Sekhukhune United.

Kaizer Chiefs are outside of the top eight on ninth position.

The Naturena based side will be looking go get into the top eight after they were kicked out by Amazulu after Usuthu claimed a victory against TS Galaxy on Tuesday.

Should Amakhosi claim a victory tomorrow against Supersport United they will either go to position six or five, depending on how Golden Arrows plays against Cape Town City.

Maritzburg United will also be looking to climb the log table after dropping maximum points against Pirates on Wednesday.

The team of choice sits on eleventh position and a victory this afternoon against TS Galaxy could get them into the top eight.

Swallows FC and Chippa United will also be desperate for maximum points tomorrow as they will be playing against each other.

The two teams sit on position 13 and 14 on the log table with a single point separating them.
