Pitso Mosimane side demand rematch over VAR decision

Al Ahly from Egypt coached by South African born Pitso Mosimane has sent the official letter to the Egypt Football Association to demand a rematch against National Bank of Ahly. When the two sides met the match ended in a 0-0 draw with a controversy during the match.Al Ahly got the free kick and score but the referee and the Video Assistant Referee ( VAR ) dissallowed the goal.

From the official letter sent to the local football association and EPL committee the club indicate that the legitimate goal was disallowed by the referee and the VAR.The club is not happy about the two valuable points that were supposed to get from that match.Al Ahly says the referee and the VAR decision contradict the International Football Association Board rules ,therefore the match must be replayed.

In the past week ,Al Ahly wrote the letter to CAF complaining about the venue of the final which is set to be at Mohammed V stadium in Morocco.Al Ahly was not happy with the fact that it gives Wydad Casablanca the advantage since it is the Moroccan club.
