According to the traditions wearing black during funerals indicates that you are mourning the loss of someone. It is also a sign of paying respect to the deceased.

Deemed as one of the most dignified send offs in the community of Alexandra, on Saturday afternoon former Kaizer Chiefs star player Lucky Maselesele was laid to rest at Waterfalls Ceremony.

On Saturday during Maselesele's send off most people were dressed to the occasion from tailored suits and designer clothing. The ceremonial funeral took place at the God Never Fails Church in Alexandra and Lucky Maselesele was finally taken by a fleet of SUV's cars from Amathole funeral services with heavy Metro Police presence to his final resting place.

As expected the Kaizer Chiefs family sent a few representatives from the club to attend the funeral. From their delegation noticeable faces were Vina Maphosa, Gerard Sibeko, Dillion Sheppard, Arthur Zwane and as well as Cecil Motaung who is the club's Supporters Relations Manager.

Most members of the Kaizer Chiefs delegation were dressed comfortably in the colours of the Naturena based outfit, from t-shirts and as well as tracksuits. The club's Supporters Relations Manager Cecil, who happens to be the younger brother of Kaizer Motaung was also spotted dressed comfortably in his "regular clothes".

The late Kaizer Chiefs star player will always be remembered as one of the most offensive attackers to ever grace the PSL during his playing days. Lucky Maselesele, a larger than life character was known as a big match temperamental player as he mostly rose to the occasion more especially against their arch rivals Orlando Pirates.

The 41 year old father of two succumbed to his death on Friday 15th October with reports stating that he was stoned and mauled by pitbulls. At this point in time a number of suspects have been apprehended by the police for his murder.
