Chiefs to spend big on new players, including this star striker

Having secured the services of a former Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter as head coach and another former Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki as Head of Technical, Amakhosi will now be looking to add a few players to their squad. But who are they going to sign?

Chiefs have identified players to bring to the club for the new season. It does not come as a surprise to be linked with so many players because they struggled to win games last season under coach Gavin Hunt and found themselves flirting with relation playoffs. They already have verbal agreements with Phathutshedzo Nange and S’fiso Hlanti for the coming season.

Chiefs have identified SuperSport United duo of Sipho Mbule and Bradley Grobler, Leletu Skelem of Stellenbosch, Katlego Mohamme of AmaTuks and Thabani Dube as some other their target. They will compete with the likes of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns for the signatures of these players.

Other players linked to Amakhosi are midfielder Vusimuzi Mncube, Saziso Magawana of Uthongathi, and TS Sporting striker Akani Chauke.

Chiefs could also strengthen their goalkeeping department with their longest serving goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune being in and out of the team with injuries and bad form. Cape Town City skipper Thabo Nodada who is one of the most-wanted man in the league could be one of the players wanted by Chiefs.

It will be interesting to see who the manage to sign.
