Former Pirates midfielder set to make debut for Swallows FC

A debut looming for the former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits midfielder Thandani "Bibo" Ntshumayelo for the Soweto giants Swallows Football Club(Birds).

Ntshumayelo joined the Birds on a one-year contract after training with the team for a year without playing a competitive match.

The midfielder was banned from football after he tested positive on drugs which saw him miss three years of no football.

The caretaker coach at Swallows has shared a few insights about the player set to make his debut for the club.

"With regards to Ntshumayelo, he is working very hard. He is a humble boy and I think he has learned from whatever it was that was troubling him. He looks like he is living a clean life now and he is a good human being. He brings so much into the team. Just the other day we were playing a friendly against Orlando Pirates and he showed the quality he possesses," Dladla told media earlier this week in a virtual press conference.

Swallows who dominate with players in the middle of the park with likes of Musa Nyathama etc.

The 31-year-old is known for his perfect passing and ability to boos midfielder and prevent opponents from playing will have to wait for his chance.

Swallwos have deep opened wounds after their exit in the MTN 8 semi-final with a 4-0 defeat against Cape Town City FC.

They will travel to Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday after where they will hope to claim a win against log leaders Sundowns.
