Max Aarons transfer news: Norwich right-back will inevitably leave Championship club

Maximillian James Aarons is an English professional footballer who plays for Championship club Norwich City. He is primarily a right-back, but can also play as a left-back.

Norwich right-back Max Aarons will inevitably leave the Championship club and become “one of the top footballers” in the world game, says joint majority shareholder Delia Smith.

Aarons began his career with Norwich and has made 115 appearances for the Canaries, who hold a four-point lead over second-placed Brentford in the Championship table.

Norwich sold centre-back Ben Godfrey to Everton for 20 million euro last October, while left-back and fellow academy graduate Jamal Lewis joined Newcastle for 15 million euro a month earlier following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

Sports director Stuart Webber confirmed there was interest from abroad in Aarons last month but all parties believed any discussion over a transfer was best left until the end of the season. Bayern are looking to add depth to their defence with younger players.
