Covid-19 | Seven of England’s top-flight clubs have more than 50% of their squad vaccinated

With the increased drive for players and people to get vaccinated, it is quite astonishing to know that only 7 Premier League clubs have more than 50% of their squad vaccinated.

The Premier League is one league that was the first to get things back to normality after the pandemic outbreak. They were the first to introduce supporters back to matches at the beginning of this season only if supporters got vaccinated. There are “red-listed countries” that the UK does not allow entry, however such measures aren't being put in place when it comes to the teams. The most well-known reasons put forward for the hesitancy are that players are young, healthy individuals less likely to suffer the worst effects of COVID-19, and the influence of anti-vaccination propaganda on social media. The Premier League has discussed the idea of having Incentives as an option by clubs to get more players to come forward to have the jab, including a potential relaxing of stringent coronavirus protocols.

With the International break, some players will be forced to isolate and quarantine if they come from red-listed countries.

Should players also be forced into getting the jab?
