Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch have started talks to recruit forward Ashley De Preez. As Soccer Laduma reported, Chiefs toyed with the possibility of luring the hot Bafana Bafana to Naturena over the past year, but Stellies insisted on keeping their prized possession, which turned into its own season. Stellies are open to an offer from Du Preez, as Chiefs and Sundowns are understood to be interested in signing the forward.
After being a regular forward for the team this season, the player finished off missing parts of his game, scoring an impressive nine goals in 30 games with manager Steve Barker.
De Preez is also on Hugo Bross squad that will play against Zimbabwe and Morocco.
The possibility of the player joining Kaizer Chiefs over Sundowns is big as Sundowns is currently having an irreplaceable Peter Shalulile on the field. It will take a very good hard work to take the position of the man.
