Top Sundowns Former Player Blasts the club's poor League performance

Mamelodi Sundowns have had a slow start to the season, with their last match against Chippa United, only getting a point from their Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium visit. They have however advanced to the semi-final of the MTN8 tournament.

Their league performance has roughed up the feathers of some former players who have had some strong words to the only club with three coaches.

Club legend Roger Feutmba has been left unimpressed with the start made to the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season by defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Brazilians have already dropped points after a draw at Chippa United in their opening two league matches after a narrow win over AmaZulu.

"It's not the start I expected considering the quality of the team they have," Feutmba told online publication

"But you know in football; sometimes, when you start a season, it's difficult to pick up early points. I believe that after five, six games, they will be fine. Sundowns has been a consistent team for many years now.

Sundowns will be looking at retaining their championship and reach for the fifth title.
