Reports: Sundowns pay a whopping R25 million for Mokoena

(Source: msn.com)

Mamelodi Sundowns mean business in this January transfer window and they will do whatever that's in powers to get their ideal player. Sundowns have a luxury of having a cheque book that has enough money to buy the elite players locally and even abroad. They're not afraid to use it at the best of their advantage whenever they're doing negotiations. Hence, it's difficult for other teams to keep up crateria of getting signing players. The best thing that other teams wait to take players that have failed or offloaded at Chloorkop. However, this around Downs got a shock of their life as they're challenged by an overseas club for the services of Teboho Mokoena.

According to reports, Masandawana are in advanced stages in terms of signing their archrivals star Mokoena who has been headhunted by different teams. This might come as a surprise since both Sundowns and SuperSport United have a great working relationship. They usually move players within each other without any hiccups, as they're neighbours. According to KickOff.com, the talented midfielder could be involved in a biggest transfer this January. As it is believed that Downs have tabled a whopping R25 million for his signature. This isn't it, since it's believed that he's on Vincent Kompany's radar at Anderlecht.

According to reports, the Belgium side have tabled R20 million for Mokoena. This is a tough call for the Bafana Bafana star as he will have to think where he, wants to take his football career, it can be locally or internationally. These figures might be seen as a lot within South Africa, but Mokoena's current market value is his all time at €1.3 million (R22.6 million). He's one of the best midfielders in the DStv Premiership at the moment and he deserves all the success coming his way.
