In the final in Uyo, Nigeria, Pirates were defeated 5-4 on penalties by Morocco's RS Berkane.

Bucs have a chance to save their season if they finish second on the DStv Premiership table.

With nine points to play for, the Buccaneers may finish second and qualify for the Caf Champions League next season.

After 27 games, they are in seventh place on the log with 40 points. Pirates may reach 49 points if they win all of their remaining matches, tying them with Cape Town City, who are now in second place after their season ended this past weekend. Bucs, on the other hand, will overtake City with a higher goal differential.

On Tuesday, the Pirates will meet Maritzburg United at Orlando Stadium. Pirates have a major problem going into this match against the Team of Choice. Ncikazi's charges are struggling to score these days, and the coach blames himself for the club's lack of attacking threat.
