PSL Log Table after Weekend Games

The Premier soccer League log table had some major changes following all games that took place this weekend.

The DStv premiership returned this weekend after International FIFA break.

Despite not playing any league games this weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns are still at the top of the log table with 16 points after playing a total of six games.

The club is currently participating in the CAF champions League.

The Brazilians will return in the DStv premiership action on Wednesday against Golden Arrows.

Supersport United closed the gap Saturday to one point after they defeated Baroka FC.

Stellenbosch FC were denied a second spot position after playing to a 1-1 draw against Swallows on Sunday afternoon, and the Cape Town based outfit settled for the third position.

Royal AM moved to the fourth position and were also not in action this weekend.

Sekhukhune United broke into the top five after claiming a hard fought victory against Cape Town City on Saturday.

Sekhukhune managed to leapfrog both Arrows and Orlando Pirates.

Arrows slipped to the sixth position and were not playing this weekend.

Pirates also dropped to the seventh position on level points with Arrows separated by goal difference and the club was playing in the CAF confederations cup this weekend.

After claiming a heavy win of 4-0 over Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs broke into the top eight below their arch rivals Pirates.

The two sides are separated by goal difference which favours Pirates.

Baroka slipped to the tenth position after losing to Supersport United on Saturday afternoon.

Cape Town City also dropped to the 12th position following a 1-0 defeat by Sekhukhune.

Swallows FC remained on 13th position after sharing a point with the Stellies.

Marumo Gallants and TS Galaxy are both still sitting on relegation zone.

The league will return this midweek with more action set to take place.
