DStv Premiership League weekend results

It was the most interesting weeekend for the DStv Premiership League fans. The league this past weekend gave us shocking results many supporters did not expect. Some football fans will not want to see the results at all. There were two fixtures that did not play due to teams playing in CAF qualifiers round, for CAF Confederations Cup (Marumo Gallants) and CAF Champions League (AmaZulu FC). Congratulations to them as they made it to the next round. Back home Royal AM and Supersport United were the shockers as they claimed big score wins. It is always embarrassing for teams to buy players and be thrashed with those new signings.

The six fixtures that played this past weekend gave us 19 goals. It is not normal in the DStv Premiership League, since most teams will want to settle for a draw. The supporters always expect nil nil draw or one nil win in most times. It was good to see so many goals being scored by the clubs. Let's take a look at the weekend results;

Saturday 18 September 2021

Cape Town City 0-3 Stellenbosch FC

Baroka FC 1-0 Sekhukhune United

Chippa United 1-3 Orlando Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs 1-4 Royal AM

Sunday 19 September 2021

Supersport United 3-0 Swallows FC

Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 TS Galaxy

Round up fixtures on Wednesday 22 September 2021

Golden Arrows vs AmaZulu FC at 15:00

Maritzburg United vs Marumo Gallants at 17:00

These are the results the supporters would love to see more often. Goals are needed to make the league interesting and entertaining. The same will be expected with Wednesday fixtures,as we already expect goals from the KwaZulu Natal teams. Maritzburg United and Marumo Gallants will be interesting game as both teams need to start picking up points, there is no time to waste. Which results do you think shocked the most?
