Supersport United star advised which club to join

Teboho Mokoena is highly demanded at moment. The player has been consistent throughout all the seasons in Supersport United colours. That alone has attracted interest from big clubs. Mamelodi Sundowns was the first as they have been interested in the player since former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane. The Brazilians never made any breakthrough for the player. Since last season they were joined by Kaizer Chiefs in the race for the signature of the player. They have also failed to make a breakthrough. Now they are joined by Belgian side Anderlecht. The latest has been that Mamelodi Sundowns have tabled an offer of around R25 million, while Anderlecht tabled an offer of around R20 million. When it comes to the offer it is clear Mamelodi Sundowns has the upper hand.

Supersport United CEO Stan Matthews has always been clear that they want to sell the player abroad. Surely when a local club makes a bigger offer than overseas club it gets tricky. Teboho Mokoena's agent Glyn Binkin confirmed to Times Live that his client has agreed personal terms with Mamelodi Sundowns. He also said now it is up to the two clubs to reach an agreement on a fee, and discussions are at advanced stage. Teboho Mokoena has been advised which club to join.

Valery Nahayo told that "Belgium is the best league from which the top leagues here in Europe look for players coming in on the cheap. They will definitely improve his earnings from what he is getting at SuperSport United even though the tax here in Belgium is around 50%. This is a move that will benefit the player if he has bigger ambitions than only being the best in South Africa. This will be a good move for him for the sake of growth because he will face different challenges and get to play in Europe. Considering that you say he is turning 25 this is the last chance for him to move into a club in Europe from where he will move on to bigger things. Anderlecht uses more youth players because this is a league from which players are bought. Anderlecht doesn’t have the biggest of budgets but R20 million is not huge for them because they stand to make more out of the player if he succeeds. R20 million is like about 1 million which is nothing for Anderlecht who will argue that this is a player who is not familiar with Europe." Do you agree with Valery Nahayo?
