Chiefs veteran star reveals what teams do every time they play against them

Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has spoken about Swallows FC and felt that they cannot turn a blind eye due to their poor performance in the DStv Premiership thus far. As he felt that Swallows will give it their all at Dobsonville Stadium this Sunday and they would want to walk away with the maximum points.

Chiefs know what the Dube Birds are going through, as they also experienced that in the previous season. After all, Swallows is still a good team that’s going through a rough patch in terms of results. However, they can always punish any team when it’s their day and Mphahlele is well aware of that, in a way that he stated they cannot take their arch-rivals for granted. “I’ve seen teams at the bottom of the bottom of the league beat teams that are number one or number two. So, we just must focus on ourselves, our game plan and treat them with respect because they are still a very good team and can hurt you at any given day,” said Mphahlele speaking to the media.

Also, the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender stated that they will focus on their game plan and not worry about things that they cannot control. Mphahlele stated that most teams in the DStv Premiership will always try to outperform Chiefs, especially the struggling ones. Hence, Amakhosi cannot take any team likely, whether they’re at the bottom of the league standings or higher, all of that doesn’t matter. What Chiefs needs to do is get the valuable maximum points against Swallows and then move on to their next game. “And also, you know when teams play against Kaizer Chiefs they just tend to revive themselves and play well so we cannot take anything for granted. I mean the minute we start looking at teams and their positions that is going to be the downfall of us,” said Mphahlele speaking to the media.
