Former Chelsea forward to host 2021 Ballon D'OR ceremony once again

Former Chelsea and Ivory Coast forward, Didier Drogba will host the 2021 Ballon d'Or ceremony once again, Drogba will be partnering with Sandy Haribet. The same pair who hosted the ceremony back in 2019,when Lionel Messi won his record of 6th Ballon d'Or, beating Cristiano Ronaldo to the best player in the world trophy.

Former Chelsea all time top scorer and the club legend, Didier Drogba has been chosen by France football as a Ballon d'Or embassador and will host the award ceremony later this year. In addition, Didier Drogba will also present the trophy to the winner.

The Ballon d'Or will be awarded on the 29th of November later this year in Paris, after a year without a winner due to covid-19 pandemic which led to the cancellation of the ceremony last year. The Ballon d'Or was not awarded last year and this left many football fans in question on who is the 2020 best players in the world.
