But the club's parade into the top flight of South African football has been met with controversy after controversy, from players complaining that where they are staying is not up to standard to them complaining about unpaid salaries.
The start that Shawn Mkhize's owned club didn't want, after the war they had with PSL while they were in the GladAfrica Championship.
With few players who moved from Bloemfontein to KwaZulu-Natal after the sale complaining and not happy with the state of how things are at the club, it is reported that former Orlando Pirates Football Club goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is one of them.
