Opinion: Two things Ronaldo is currently doing that is attracting much criticism

The Portuguese striker recently joined Manchester United from Juventus and has had an immediate impact, scoring a couple of match-winning goals in his first two matches. However, it appears like Ronaldo's honeymoon period at the club has come to an end, as they are currently on a winning streak of two victories in seven games across all competitions.

Despite failing to find the net in his last two Manchester United appearances, Ronaldo netted a triple trick for Portugal during the international break against Luxembourg, bringing his total number of goals for his country to 115. As for his numbers for United, they have also been positive so far. The three goals he scored during the month of September earned him the honor of being named player of the month. The fact remains that despite all of this, Ronaldo continues to draw criticism, and as such, we will examine two recent actions taken by the footballer which have drawn widespread attention.

Because of the healthy rivalry and competition he has cultivated with other players in the game, when things are not going well for him or when people believe he is overdoing some things, people are more likely to point the finger at his side. When things are not going well for him, people are more likely to point the finger at his side than they are to point the finger at him. The following are the two most significant things that Ronaldo is now doing that are causing people to talk about him.

1. Making tap-ins for points

Most of Cristiano Ronaldo's goals have come from within the box or have been tap-ins since his return to Manchester United in 2014. In reality, according to statistics, the Portuguese striker has failed to score from outside the penalty box thus far this season. People have criticized Ronaldo for not being able to score beautiful goals from outside the box, despite the fact that players such as Salah, Messi, and others have done it in the past.

2. Excessive joy and happiness.

Another thing that Ronaldo is being criticized for right now is his exuberant celebrations. The Portugal captain is known for exaggerating the importance of a goal scored on the counter-attack. After scoring a last-minute goal against Villarreal, Ronaldo took his jersey off and threw it as he ran away in celebration, causing some to assume he was going beyond.
