Gavin Hunt makes Bold Statement after Losing to Kaizer Chiefs

The head coach of Chippa United Gavin Hunt has made a bold statement following his side's defeated by his former club, Kaizer Chiefs.

The Chilli boys suffered a heavy defeat of 4-0 by Amakhosi at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.

Hunt was welcomed by four goals on his return to FNB Stadium for the first time since he was sacked by Chiefs last season.

However Hunt has defended his side after conceding four goals without scoring any for the night.

Speaking after the game Hunt insisted that the outcomes of the game were not a true reflection of both sides.

He said his side had more scoring opportunities more than Chiefs but they failed to use any of the chances.

"It could’ve been seven or eight to us, before they scored we could’ve scored twice. We had so many chances in and around the box there," said Hunt.

Following yesterday's loss the Gqeberha based side dropped to the 14th position in the log table.

Hunt also admitted that Chiefs also played well as their first goal was a defensive problem for his side.
