Coach Davids Praises 3 Pirates Stars After Dominant Win.

After the Orlando Pirates' resounding victory over Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday, co-caretaker coach Fadlu Davids heaped praise on three of his team's players.

The Buccaneers finally got their just desserts for their dominating performances, as they scored three unanswered goals against Stellies, who had gone into the match winless.

Collins Makgaka and Deon Hotto, who scored a brace for Pirates, were among the team's scorers, with Pirates coach Davids complimenting their efforts.

His post-match comments were as follows: "Ja, Collins was absolutely outstanding today."

"Really, in terms of his serenity in between the lines, number one, but also in terms of his ability to locate guys who are moving in behind the defense line, second." As soon as he has the ball, you (are) certain to have a one-on-one matchup; if you make the proper run, the ball (will) come to you."

"It was evident that we needed to exploit Hotto to his full potential today, particularly to attempt to get behind their right full-back, particularly in terms of the quality of the balls that came into his area," he said of Hotto.

"Of course, his speed, and then his calm to be able to get the first assist, were both outstanding. However, his movement today was great, as was his timing, which was precisely what we were looking for: he was in the right place at the right time to be able to penetrate behind the defense line."

Davids also commended Buccaneers center-back Olisah Ndah, who had a goal disallowed but has otherwise been a fantastic addition to the team.

"Ndah has a strong presence in the atmosphere. In terms of scoring his first goal for Pirates, it was "simply unlucky," according to the coach. "I'm not sure what occurred, but it was just terrible for him."

The time will come because he is a really dominant force, not just in attacking set pieces but also in the defensive line, where he is doing exceptionally well in a new relationship with Ntsiki (Nyauza)."

Pirates remain in seventh place on the log, but they are just three points behind second place. They will be back in action on Saturday, November 27 when they host SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium in their next match.
