I Deserved More At Chiefs : Former Kaizer Chiefs Midfielder

Former Kaizer Chiefs and current Black Leopards player, has had a hard time since returning from Europe in 2014. But he seems to have established himself in the DSTV Premieship this season. Having also contributed a few goals including two against his former team Kaizer Chiefs.

The 32-year-old started his football career with Masvingo United, spending two years in the club senior team. Before joining Gunners Football Club in 2009. The club eventual sold him to Ligue 1 team Us Boulogone. After that he joined OH Leuven, he left the club after its was relegated at the end of the 2013/14 season to join Chiefs.

Karuru says he was never given a fair chance at Chiefs to showcase his talent. As the team was doing well under coach Stuart Baxter. While Steve Komphela never gave him an opportunity to play.

I was happy to be playing for Chiefs, i don't even regret my first season at Chiefs. I remember we won the league under coach Stuart Baxter. He used to tell us if you not doing well. Steve Komphela i liked him, he never gave me a chance, Karuru told Kickoff.com.

Karuru was eventual released by Kaizer Chiefs on 31 may 2016. After his departure from Amakhosi he spend six months without a team. Before he was signed by Amazulu in February 2017. At the age of 32 he hopes he can continue playing for a long time like Siyabonga Nomvethe.
