It has been more than five years ever since Kaizer Chiefs lifted a trophy and that has left many supporters very angry at the club. There are some fans that even stopped supporting the team in the past years due to many disappointing results that the team has been receiving in the past years. There are many heartbreaking moments whereby Kaizer Chiefs was very near to seeing victory but things could not get together for them. One of those moments is when Kaizer Chiefs was knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by TS Galaxy and when they lost the league title in the last game of the season.

The team has also changed coaches with the hopes that the boys might try and pull up their socks. It seems like Stuart Baxter is still trying to structure the team in a way that will make him happy but they are also getting some good results. Kaizer Chiefs has managed to shift from position 12 to position 6 in the DSTV premiership and they will be looking forward to keeping on climbing the log this season. There are fans who have highlighted on social media that Kaizer Chiefs might win the league this season. This is a very big statement from Kaizer Chiefs fans and Mamelodi Sundowns will be certainly shocked to hear such claims and ambitions.

What are the chances of seeing Kaizer Chiefs winning the league after several years of having this dream? Well, it is with no doubt that Stuart Baxter is very capable as a coach in terms of bringing some silverware to Kaizer Chiefs but this will be a very difficult task for him. Mamelodi Sundowns has proved to be the best team currently in the country and Kaizer Chiefs might find it hard to snatch that number one position from the Brazilians.
