Watch: Mbule spotted with his new Sundowns teammates

In the last five-plus seasons Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club has dominated the transfer window market like they have dominated the league, as most of the Premier Soccer League(PSL) clubs have felt the wrath and financial power the Brazilians have when they went toe to toe for the signature of a player.

Over the years the club has signed the likes of Sibusiso Vilakazi, Thabiso Kutumela, and Peter Shalulile after showing their financial strength after other PSL clubs like Kaizer Chiefs Football Club and Orlando Pirates Football Club tried to go into binding war with Masandawana.

During this transfer window market Sundowns has surprisingly just signed one player, which is something that many have found hard to believe given how they handled their transfer window market in the past.

So far they have completed the signing of Sipho Mbule from Supersport Football Club after years of fighting with Chiefs for the signature of the 24-year-old, who was set to move to Naturena before Sundowns came into the picture, and once again use their financial powers to sign a player underneath the nose of their rivals.

Mobile will join his former Supersport United teammates Tebogo Mokoena, Grant Kekana, and Aubrey Modiba at Chloorkop ahead of the season 2022/2023 season.

Yesterday Sundowns players reported for their first day of pre-season at their village in Chloorkop, and a former Sundowns development graduate was among his new teammates ahead of starting his new life at the club.

What stood out the most for me, was how easy and at home, he looked despite only joining the club a few weeks ago, which is down to seeing his former Matsatsantsa teammates at the club which will make it easy for him to get used to life at Sundowns.

I predict a great future for him at Sundowns, and he will hit top form soon.
