Mamelodi Sundowns players have been rewarded for their dominance of the 2021/22 season.
The Brazilians secured their domestic treble on Saturday night after the club was crowned as the champions of Nedbank Cup beating Marumo Gallants in the final by 2-1.
Before winning the Nedbank Cup the club had previously won the Dstv premiership trophy and the MTN8 at the beginning of the season.
Speaking to the media in reaction to the club's achievement, Sundowns official Alex Shakoane said the club always wanted to dominate the South African football in honour of their fans who always spend their money and travel to watch the club playing.
Shakoane added that the club wanted to win all the domestic trophies this season and since they managed to do that, the trophies are for the fans.
Shakoane further revealed that Sundowns made the decision to reward players with R15 million and the price of winning the Nedbank Cup.
"The money that was won (for the League) R15 million, will go to the players. Nothing will go to the management," said Shakoane.
He added that the money that was won in the Nedbank cup recently will also go to the players.
He added that when you motivate players like that they always deliver.
