A newly signed goalkeeper for Kaizer Chiefs, Brandon Peterson, has won the fans hearts after his heroics in the Carling Black Label Cup played at Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Chiefs won 4-3 on penalties and Peterson saved two of them.
Peterson saved Wayde Jooste and Ntsikelelo Nyauza's penalties. Peterson started the match on the bench as the fans voted for the veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune to start. Many never thought that Peterson would produce such performance on his debut. The stakes are always high when Chiefs lock horns with Pirates and Peterson was unfazed by the pressure.
Some Chiefs fans noted that Peterson should be a man of the match after his heroics. It remains to be seen if Peterson would be a number one goalkeeper after this performance. He is very good in saving penalties.
Do you think Peterson should be Chiefs number one goalkeeper? Let us know in the comments section.
