Ghana Drawn Against Nigeria For The World Cup Play-Offs: End Of The Road For The Black Stars?

South African soccer fans were over the moon with Bafana Bafan's performance during the Federation of International Football Association World Cup qualifiers, they played almost all their games without a loss and they lost their last qualifier game that was very important, they lost to Ghana in Ghana and they were not happy with the way they lost since they felt they were robbed when the Senegalese referee Manguette Ndiaye awarded the Black Stars a controversial penalty that decided the game, and that was it, so close but yet so far for Bafana Bafana.

The draw for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers last round of play offs has been conducted on Saturday and the Ghanaians have been drawn to play against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, they have had a tough draw after they had a night mare of a tournament during the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations, now they have to go through the Nigerians who won all their group stages in the AFCON.

Ghana have however struggled to find just one win in all the three games they played in the group stages, they lost two games and went home in the most embarrassing manner where they managed to collect just one point out of the nine they played for, they finished position four behind the new comers Comoros who beat them 3-2 in their last group match.

The Black Stars of Ghana might not see the gates of Qatar looking at their opponents compared to their performance in the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria finished on top of their group having won all their games, on the other hand Ghana finished at the bottom of the table with zero win, that should tell how much trouble they are in, they may have been wishing for a different team, but they got the high flying Super Eagles.

On the other hand, the draw has paired two Liverpool forward together on separate team, Senegal has been drawn to play against Egypt, Saio Mane and Mohammed Salah will be playing in opposite ends, they will be attempting to score in order to eliminate each other, that means one thing for sure is that one between the two Liverpoolvs super stars will never go to Qatar.
