Fans Should be Allowed Back to The Stadiums Once They Are Fully Vaccinated

Talks about fans to return to the stadium is something that has not only been a topic of interest to the football universe, even on the other sporting codes there has been conversations surrounding this topic. The cricket fans and the rugby fans have also found it interesting to have conversations about returning to the Stadiums since the lockdown restrictions were imposed last year. We have already seen in Europe and in the United States of America that they have allowed fans to attend live games, and it's still a wonder if SA will do the same thing.

The chairman of Baroka FC Khurishi Mphahlele, has thrown in on this topic and according to his view point fans should only be allowed back into stadiums once they have been fully vaccinated. The Premier Soccer League Season has already kick started with the MTN 8 cup this past weekend, and this coming weekend we will be seeing the DStv Premiership starting as we will be seeing SA teams competing for the league title. The South African football fans have been barred from attending live games since last year March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Unlike European countries Mzansi diski fans continue to rely on digital and Television platforms for them to watch their favorite teams and analyze games. Khurishi Mphahlele is also of a view that it will be meaningless for the government to allow a limited number of fans at the Stadiums because that would be meaningless for them as they will not make profit from the ticket sales, in that regard it will be better to close Stadiums as they are and allow people to attend only when they have fully vaccinated.

The Premier Soccer League clubs have complied to the rules and regulations of the South African government as they didn't allow any fan to be in attendance during live games. South Africa might be in a better position when it comes to the spread of the coronavirus infections since they have not allowed fans to be in attendance of live games, it is alleged that the recent spread of the coronavirus infections in the US and in Europe is a result of the packed stadiums, Mphahlele could have made his analysis based on the realities that are happening abroad.
