Orlando Pirates are through to the CAF confederations Cup playoffs after they edged Diables Noirs 1-0 on Sunday evening at Orlando Stadium. The Buccaneers played a goaless draw in the first leg away from home to the Congolese side.
Pirates came to this game with a frustrating draw against 10 men, Maritzburg United in the DSTV Premiership, having much pressure to make changes and get to be on the score sheet in the CAF competition. Happy Jele scored the only goal of the match which was enough to get Pirates through to thhe next round in the competition.
Pirates made a couple of changes to their line up and formation compared to the previous game, the line up was looking like this...Mpontshane, Jele, Sam, Mngonyama, Mako, Monare, Mosele, Jooste, Makaringe, Mntambo, Dzvukamanja with the 4-4-2 formation.
Pirates made a couple of changes in the match to keep pressure on the visiting side to make sure that they are through to the next round.
