Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Mokwena Makes Revelation about New Signing Zungu

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena has made a huge revelation about the club's new signing Bongani Zungu.

Zungu was unveiled as the new signing of Downs on Saturday afternoon before the game against Kaizer Chiefs.

The player rejoins the club after he spent his time with the club before his move to overseas.

The player also joined the club on a free transfer after his contract with a Scottish club, Amiens came to an end and became a free agent.

The 29-year old was announced in front of Sundowns fans at Loftus and it was surprise of the day.

Zungu was on the radar of many teams before he chose to rejoin the Brazilians.

Chiefs was also among of the teams that were reportedly after his signature but the player chose his former side.

Mokwena has thanked the player for turning down lucrative offers for a move to the Brazilians.

Speaking to the media Mokwena congratulated everybody from the club who was involved in securing the signature of the player and has insisted that it was a very complicated deal.

"I also want to thank Bongani for his patience and trust, because he had other offers. And Bongani chose to come to us and he was very patient," said Mokwena.

The coach also revealed that Zungu had more lucrative offers than what Sundowns offered but he still chose to join the club.

Mokwena also extend his gratitude to the player's Mother and family who supported him to join Sundowns instead of other clubs.

The coach also claimed that the club have a lot of good players in Zungu's position which makes it an exciting competition because Zungu is also a good player himself.

The player will be looking to make his first appearance since returning to the club when the Brazilian's return to action.
