Kaizer Chiefs have been poor in all competitions. It is not for the first time Stuart Baxter indicating that the club needs its fans, without them they are struggling. As supporters, you do not want any excuses for losing. Stuart Baxter highlighted that the Christmas break, AFCON and the DStv Compact Cup has affected the momentum of the club. The coach seems to be right in this case, Amakhosi had been performing well before the break.
Stuart Baxter is definitely right, he said that the loss to TS Galaxy which resulted in Chiefs being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup and the goaless draw against Cape Town City might have not happen if there was no break in between. Kaizer Chiefs would have continued with their momentum if it was not for the break. The break had a huge impact in the club without doubt.
"The mixture of not playing for a while played a role and that some of them had not played a game 48 hours prior," Baxter said. Kaizer Chiefs head coach also said that most of his players were not playing football and that impacted their fitness, some of them played in the Compact Cup. Most of the players were not read for the two match they played this year.
"We will miss a week but play a friendly game against SuperSport, and hopefully we get everybody up to speed and then have a go for the rest of the season," Baxter said. The players are now fit without doubt, they played 2 matches and the friendly match against SuperSport United.
Kaizer Chiefs fans have been asking why is Ngcobo who was signed from Swallows last year not playing regularly. The defender is believed to be a good defender according to the supporters. Kaizer Chiefs supporters believe that Ngcobo is better than the likes of Mathoho and Cardoso, and he should be the center of the defense at Chiefs.
