Following coach Pitso Mosimane and mamelodi Sundwns’ contracts saga, African football legend lashed out at the club for dragging their feet in finalizing the coach’s new deal.
Mosimane’s contract with the reigning Absa Premiership Champions have been ‘nearing’ for months now with nothing confirmed as yet regarding the future of the highly-rated mentor.
The former Sundowns legendary goalkeeper Ronnie Kanalelo has been adamant that Mosimane should remain in charge at Chloorkop while revealing his concern that it has been long since the negotiations started but the club is yet to make an announcement.
Kanalelo was quoted by Soccer Laduma saying that the reigning PSL club must get their act together considering that they are a professional club and top club in Africa thus they are expected to handle situations better to make everybody comfortable.
The 55-year-old coach is one of the longest serving and highly respected coaches in South African football, having won several major trophies with SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns.
‘Jingles’ also served as the care-taker coach of South Africa senior team in 2007 and was ranked as the 10th best coach in the world in 2016 according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) while bagging the Glo-CAF coach of the year accolade after guiding Masandawana to the 2015/16 league glory and the Telkom Knockout trophy marking a clean sweep of all domestic trophies in the PSL era.
