In the DStv Premiership, the floodgates of the January window have yet to open, but a number of transfers have already been completed. So far, there have been ten completed transactions.

Midway through the month, there have been fewer confirmed moves than normal across the DStv Premiership, and it appears that the South African top-flight will have a quiet transfer window.

Despite this, a number of transfers have taken place, including Bradley Ralani's move from Cape Town City to Mamelodi Sundowns, where the 34-year-old has signed a contract until the end of next season.

Another high-profile transfer saw Bafana Bafana forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane depart Maritzburg United for Minnesota FC in Major League Soccer.

He's one of a slew of Team of Choice departures, including Jose Ali Meza's release and Lefa Hlongwane's move to TS Galaxy. Galaxy have also confirmed the signing of experienced defender Vuyo Mere, who left Swallows FC lately.

Shonga was acquired in a three-way deal.

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United has been the most active club in terms of transfers, having completed a three-player deal for Luckyboy Mokoena, Evans Rusike, and Justin Shonga, the latter of whom is returning to South Africa after a spell in Egypt.
