With Cristiano Ronaldo's absolutely astounding goalscoring for Portugal on the international stage, he is now closer to breaking what might be his biggest record yet!
The 36-year-old scored twice in his country's Euro 2020 opening game against Hungary last week Tuesday, becoming the first player to appear in five European Championship campaigns and the tournament's all-time leading scorer.
Ronaldo then scored again in A Selecao's 4-2 loss to Germany over the weekend, giving him 12 goals in Euro finals campaigns and 107 in total
While his members of the team will be hoping that he can maintain this form for A Selecao in the coming weeks if Portugal stays in the competition, the Juventus forward may be inspired by another record that most footballers can only dream of breaking.
The Bianconeri forward is now only three goals away from breaking Ali Daei's Iran record of 109 goals.
Daei's impressive tally for the Western Asian country came in 149 outward appearance, while Ronaldo has played for his country on 177 occasions.
The former Sporting Lisbon forward has become associated with landmarks and accomplishments over the years, but this may be the feat he is most eager to achieve.
