(Opinion) Mamelodi Sundowns Were Sloppy Against Golden Arrows

On Saturday afternoon Mamelodi Sundowns were playing away from home as they were hosted by Golden Arrows at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, this was a crucial match for the Mamelodi Sundowns co-coaches as they are aiming to get the MTN 8 title that was previously won by Orlando Pirates. During the process of this match as I've been observing both sides Mamelodi Sundowns appeared to have been a side that was stronger than the hosts, yes it can be acknowledged that Arrows scored the first goal of the match but they were not stronger than Sundowns.

Its just unfortunate for the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters who were watching this match that they had to witnessed some poor finishing from their club, this is a match that Masandawana dominated and its not understandable seriously how they could have failed to score past a team that had a shaky defense. Golden Arrows almost got away with a 1 nil first leg victory in this MTN 8 semi final and if it was not for Safranko's late equalising goal, the DStv Premiership champions could have been beaten by a team that was sloppy.

Its clear that Masandawana was all over the hosts, Golden Arrows was outplayed and outclassed its just that they were lucky that the Sundowns squad was unable to finish their chances when they had to, and even when the likes of Peter Shalulile and Gaston Srino were in the field of play they still couldn't take charge of this match by scoring crucial goals for their team, this was going to help the Tshwane outfit to have an easy task on the second leg.

Even though Mamelodi Sundowns might have been all over Golden Arrows but credit must also be given to Sfiso Mlungwana, the goal keeper of Golden Arrows he made things to be difficult for the visitors when they attempted to score.
