After Loosing the Cup to RS Berkane, See What Pirates Coach Said About It.

Orlando Pirates head coach Mandla Ncikazi has weighed in on his team's CAF Confederation Cup final defeat to RS Berkane.

The Buccaneers were upset 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time. At one point in the match, Thembinkosi Lorch was revered for his late equalizer, but his hero image was damaged after failing to score from the penalty spot in stoppage time.

Previous CAF Champions League and CAF Confed Cup championship games had ended in heartbreak for the Buccaneers. Their third straight defeat in a CAF interclub tournament final ended in this defeat.

I am devastated by our team's current condition. After the game, he said something to the effect of "We lost the final and we lost a match that we shouldn't have lost."

No matter how many chances you create or how much control you have over the game, you just can't seem to find a way to score.

When I think of how much they fought, I feel awful for the entire squad, too. It is time to accept the situation as it is and move on.

According to one player, we lost a final that we should have won based on our dominance and the opportunities that we generated. When it comes to football, if you don't take advantage of the chances you create, the game is over.
