In this edition of transfer done deals in the GladAfrica Championship, clubs are adding firepower to their strikeforce. Obviously teams have recognized that they lack up front. Richards Bay has added a former Cosmos striker, while Callies has slipped into players under the radar. And a former Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila striker has returned to this division.
1. Chigaemezu Franklin Ogbonna (23)
Nigerian-born Ogbonna recently joined Richards Bay as they looked to strengthen their goalscoring department. He had two stints at Jomo Cosmos from 2016 to 2018, and the 2019/20 season. He has already made one start at for the Natal Rich Boys since his move in this transfer window.
2. Ayanda Rorwana (22)
Rorwana has emerged at Pretoria Callies after he was part of a Kaizer Chiefs trio who was recalled from their loan to Swallows FC. Their loan was supposed to have been a season long one. The midfielder was spotted in the Romans starting lineup for their Nedbank Cup Last 32 clash against Royal AM.
3. Kyle Koert (32)
Koert is another player who was spotted on the Pretoria Callies team sheet for their Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Royal AM. The former Orlando Pirates and Supersport United youth development player last played for Baberwa FC in the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League. He plays either as a second striker or as a right winger.
4. Sonwabile Mfecane (21)
Mfecane has penned a deal with Sekhukhune United after he was released by Cape Town Spurs. He signed his first professional contract with Ajax Cape Town at the beginning of the 2019/20. The attacking midfielder made 10 league appearances and scoring one, as well as 1 Nedbank Cup match also scoring 1 goal.
5. Naeem Amojee (24)
Amojee has returned to the GAC and join up with TS Sporting on loan until end of the season. The striker joined Baroka FC from TTM at the beginning of the current season but has since struggled to break into the first team. He has already played one game since his move at the end of January.
