Kaizer Chiefs lost 1-0 as Ashley Du Preez scored the only goal in the match in the 38th minute of the match with an assist from Junior Mendieta. After the 1-0 defeat Kaizer Chiefs was in the 6th place spot as Orlando Pirates fixture has not started yet at the time.
Orlando Pirates played their latest fixture in the Dstv Premiership against Sekhukhune United at home after the Kaizer Chiefs fixture, and Orlando Pirates won the match 2-1 at full-time as they made a classic comeback in just 2 minutes to come from 1-0 behind to win the match 2-1 as they scored 2 goals in 2 minutes. Before the match started Orlando Pirates was in the 7th place spot but moved above Kaizer Chiefs into the 6th place spot with Kaizer Chiefs moving down to 7th place.
Orlando Pirates claimed the 6th place spot all thanks to Linda Mntambo who converted from the penalty spot and Kabelo Dlamini who scored just 2 minutes after Mntambo. Sekhukhune United scored in the 41st minute when Seth Parusnath found the back of the net, with Linda Mntambo scoring in the 76th minute for Pirates and Kabelo Dlamini in the 78th minute of the match.
After the win, Orlando Pirates claimed the 6th place spot on the log with 14 points after 9 matches played to date, and Kaizer Chiefs in the 7th place spot with 12 points after 9 matches played.
