It seems like new signing Thabiso Kutumela has found his calling at his new team Mamelodi Sundowns. Not that he can argue that he is not getting enough game time, but when he is called upon to do the job, he get it done easy as that. He has made a few cameo lately and whenever he comes in, the performance is always top. The former Maritzburg United player has seen his game develop at Sundowns with little game time he has got and should he be given more and full 90-minutes, he will definitely be a lethal of a player. Talking to Soccer Laduma.com reporters, he promised Ka Bo Yellow fans more trophies and goals.
” I managed to open my account in a Mamelodi t-shirt and I’m really happy. It was not an easy goal because some players lose their cool when they get to the box, but I told myself when I got the ball, my first touch was alright then I went between the legs of the goalkeeper,” he told reporters.
After scoring what was his fourth appearance for Sundowns, Kutumela has made a promise Ka Bo Yellow supporters vowing to find the back of the net on more regular basis as his confidence is slowly coming back. He also revealed whats his goal celebration all about.
” The dance? You know the cobra dance. You are still going to see it again. I have to get my confidence back in scoring, but I’m happy that I got my first goal to open my account for Mamelodi Sundowns team,” concluded Kutumela.
The striker finished the 2020/21 season on 14 goals in all competition last season and will be hoping to keep them coming for his new team given that Sundowns have top midfielders to pass him the ball to score. How high do you rate him? Let me know.
