A disturbing picture of Mbulelo Mabizela enjoying his 'smokes' surfaces

In the PSL era many footballers in the top tier league practice a healthy lifestyle as they need to be extremely energetic and athletic to carry the team throughout the whole 90 minutes.

It is common knowledge that smoking affects health seriously and in football it can also affect their ability to do their professional tasks.

In South Africa retired footballer Mbulelo Mabizela will go down in history as one of the youngest players in the country to captain Orlando Pirates and the men's senior national team. At his peak as talented as he was "OJ" as he was fondly known as even had the privilege of playing in the English Premier League (EPL) and most scoring a solitary goal that he can boast about.

Throughout his football career he was a player who was always shrouded by controversy and at his peak he even plied his trade in Belgian. Making his return to South Africa he earned himself a reputation of being one of the few players who received a lengthy ban from the sport after traces of marijuana were found in his samples.

Fast forward post his retirement where it is rumoured that he is currently unearthing the next great players in Pietermaritzburg, one of his latest pictures has surfaced on social media where he is pictured practising a 15-a-day habit, smoking a cigarette. Without any worry in the world the Pietermaritzburg born retired footballer who had the privilege of starring in the 2002 FIFA World Cup tournament seems to be enjoying his 'smokes' even though it is detriment to his health.

At this point in time we are led to believe that Mbulelo Mabizela is not the only known former Bafana Bafana player who enjoy smoking as according to sources retired footballer Thabo Mngomeni who is Rastafarian smokes the "holy herb".
