Kaizer Chiefs are not real title challengers according to former Orlando Pirates legend?

It is often said quite a lot of times that football is probably one of the most unpredictable sports on the planet as a lot can change within the snap of a finger and within the blink of an eye as well

At the beginning of this current season Kaizer Chiefs started it in quite disastrous fashion as they were echoing the side that finished in 8th place last season in the DSTV Premiership

And what was also making matters a lot more worse was the talk and opinions surrounding the style of football that Stuart Baxter wishes to implement at the club as most fans and former players were not really a fan of it

The current Amakhosi top boas Stuart Baxter has been accused of deploying a defensive minded counter attacking team which goes against the traditional Glamour Boys stylish attacking football that Kaizer Chiefs became famously known for in the past

Then again after a very slow start to the season Kaizer Chiefs gradually started to pick up form and grabbing important wins along the way including a crucial victory over fierce rivals Orlando Pirates a couple of weeks ago

And the Glamour Boys used the result and the victory as momentum as they kicked on from there as for the first time in a year or so Amakhosi finally find themselves where they belong in the top three in the DSTV Premiership

That has now prompted the suggestion that Kaizer Chiefs could now potentially challenge Mamelodi Sundowns as they are indeed in devastating form lead by the brilliant partnership and performances of both Khama Billiat & Keagan Dolly

Although a former Orlando Pirates legend Benedict Vilakazi believes that Kaizer Chiefs are still nowhere near challenging Mamelodi Sundowns for the league title according to & courtesy of reports from SoccerLaduma

"(Laughs) from my point of view I don't think Kaizer Chiefs can challenge the league with the way they play their game. In my view, I don't think anyone can challenge this Sundowns,"

These comments from Benedict Vilakazi might attract a negative reaction from most Kaizer Chiefs fans but they are not entirely and totally wide off the mark as Mamelodi Sundowns are a total winning machine

Although currently as it stands Kaizer Chiefs are not that far off from reaching the level that Mamelodi Sundowns are at the moment as Amakhosi themselves are slowly building momentum and are closing the gap as well
