The top-tier Premier Soccer League(PSL) clubs are returning to training ahead of the 2022/2023 pre-season which is set to be the most competitive in the league's history, and will also set an example of what the 2022/2023 season will be like.
Orlando Pirates Football Club like many clubs in the country is yet to return to training, as players are set to undergo medical and fitness check-ups before returning to the field of play before they can start with their preparations for the new season starting in August 2022.
Ahead of this tricky period that could see a host of fringe players leave the club, Wayde Jooste, and Tebogo Tlolane are just some of the players who could still leave the club after having had limited game time last season under the co-coaches of Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.
Earlier today the club had the first part of the fitness tests that the players have before every season, and Tlolane in a video clip he share on his Instagram story, @tetetlolane_11 asked Jooste how he did on his fitness test and Jooste's response was not what many would have expected from him given how professional he has been in the past.
He told Tlolane to piss off after the 25-year-old made fun of how he was fit given it is off-season and most players are on holidays, and not working on themselves like he is doing.
Irrespective of whether he was joking or not, I don't think this is right for a player of his standard to throw curse words like that, especially on social media where their fans and followers get to see and hear him doing that.
But again, like me and yourself, he is a human being and these things happen to the best of us, so let us not be hard on him.
