Lentjies Loving Compact Cup Experience

Chippa United lead trainer Kurt Lentjies says he is excited by the amazing chance to work with experienced mentors while helping the Coastal United group at the DStv Compact Cup.

Lentjies is getting the chance to work close by Stellenbosch mentor Steve Barker who is the lead trainer of the Coastal United, while Cape Town City mentor Eric Tinkler is likewise important for the specialized group as consultant.

Costal United beat Dinaledi 3-0 in the semi-finals on Saturday to set up a last against Warriors.

When asked by iDiski Times writer Rob Delport about the amazing chance to work with Barker and Tinkler, the tenderfoot mentor says it's been a surprisingly good development for him actually.

"No, without a doubt," Lentjies said at the post match presser.

"Well, when they let me know that I'm chosen, I really got goosebumps and clearly got energized on the grounds that I mean, as far as I might be concerned, who just accepted the position at Chippa for the beyond two months, it's really a surprisingly good turn of events.

"Since I just came in with a receptive outlook just to gain from Coach Eric and Coach Steve. It was great.

"So for my purposes, I'm simply sitting back picking up, watching them. So I'm partaking in this insight.

"I'm anticipating one week from now, clearly returning to work with my group, however anticipating one week from now (the last) also."
