Al Ahly Has Long Term Plans For Mosimane

The South African football universe had been observing the relationship that Mosimane has with his team, Al Ahly and how he reacts about the technical team and the entire staff members of the Egyptian giants, and most importantly they have seen how much Mosimane has been valued by the President of the club Mahmoud El-Khatib. It's quite clear that the former Bafana Bafana mentor is happy with Al Ahly and the Al Ahly board are happy with his services as well, and to prove this there are now fresh contractual talks between the club and Mosimane.

The Marketing and transfers director of the club Amir Tawfik made some interesting remarks to the media about Pitso Mosimane, and he skilled the beans when he said "the club want Mosimane to continue leading the team." This statement by Tawfik makes reasonable sense because under Mosimane Al Ahly won two back to back CAF Champions League titles and they made history by becoming the first team in Africa to win ten Champions League trophies.

Al Ahly has long term plans for Pitso Mosimane and for the mere fact that President Mahmoud El-Khatib wants to meet face to face with the 57 year old South African mentor, as the two will be talking about matters relating with the new contract deal. On previous days it was reported in the sports media that Al Ahly company and Mosimane's representatives which would be led by his wife were going to be meeting on Tuesday to discuss this much talked about new deal, but now it has become apparent that this meeting has been shifted not later than the end of this week.

Mosimane has a good record with Al Ahly, out of the 72 games he managed he win 52 of them, lost give and then drew only just 15 of those games, and on top of it all Al Ahly has seen some incredible success under his leadership, except during the time he lost the Egyptian Premier League to the club's arch rivals SC Zamalek. This is not a bad record for the 57 year old mentor and it's good that he is representing Mzansi very well in Egypt.
