Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has provided latest update on the recent flu outbreak at the club's camp.
On Monday Sundowns confirmed that several of their players have suffered flu which resulted for some of the club's key players to miss the club's last game of the season against Royal AM on monday afternoon.
However despite missing key players, Sundowns went on to win the game by 3-2 and finished their season strong.
"The players are being tested for the full flu panel that includes influenza, Covid-19, and RSV PCR to establish the exact cause of the symptoms," confirmed Mngqithi.
The coach added that it is important that the tests are conducted because the symptoms represent similar signs.
The coach however remains hopefully that many of the affected players will return in time for the club's final in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
