We're On The Same Level With Sundowns - Ncikazi After Pirates Won Away In DRC

After having travelled and came back with a 2-0 victory away in the Democratic Republic of Congon when the beat CSMD Diables Noirs, coach Mandla Ncikazi feels the team is on the same level with Mamelodi Sundowns who are dominating the DStv Premiership, they are winning almost everything on their way, they have so far won ten of the twelve games they have played in the league and have not lost a single game, they have already been crowned the Champions of the MTN 8, and Ncikazi feels that his team is on the same level with The Brazilians despite being on position 7.

Speaking to Thabiso Mosia on SA FM on Monday, the former Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United coach stressed out that the Buccaneers are not just an ordinary team, he said they are a big team that is as big as Sundowns are, they just out number them with fans and he admitted that they are not achieving what they should be achieving.

"It's important that we have the momentum of winning. Pirates is a big team in South Africa. We are expected to win every match. We are in the level of Sundowns but we have more support than Mamelodi Sundowns. But Pirates are not achieving at their best currently. But we understand the process. It's a new leadership, there were many players injured. But now we are on the right track, to achieving big things," he said.

The Sea Robbers are currently on position number seven with 18 points after having played the same number of games with Sundowns who are sitting at the summit of the log with 30 points in the bag, twelve ahead of Pirates, Ncikazi is feels the two teams are at the same level, he also takes pride of the number of fans Bucs has compared to those Masandawana has.
