Kaizer Chiefs Release a Player a Day After Signing Edmilson Dove

Kaizer Chiefs have on Friday confirmed that they have parted ways with left back Sibusiso Mabiliso.

This comes after a day Chiefs signed a new defender Edmilson Dove.

Mabiliso struggled for game time since arriving last year from AmaZulu. The 23-year-old made six appearances in Amakhosi’s DStv Premiership encounters of last season, with only one of them coming as a start.

“Kaizer Chiefs and defender Sbusiso Mabiliso have parted ways after his contract was terminated by mutual consent. We thank Sbu for his contribution and wish him well for the future,” read a tweet from Chiefs on Friday afternoon.

The Soweto giants are believed to be back and better under the watch of their new coach arthur Zwane.

"We are so bad at selling players. We can’t just terminate and release. I understand Chiefs is not a prison and if someone wants to leave then that’s fine. But we need to start selling players to generate income," wrote a user.

Meanwhile, Chiefs is gearing up to take on Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 13 August 2022 in a DStv Premiership game.
